Uniform

The uniform for the Texas State Guard Medical Brigade is the ACU.



You will need at a minimum:

• 2 ACU Blouse
• 2 ACU Trousers
• ACU Patrol Cap w/sewn in rank insignia
• Desert Web Belt
• 4 Pair Desert Uniform Socks
• 2 Desert T-shirt (4 would be better)
• Desert Boots (see file below for regulations)(2 pair is recommended)
• Name Tapes and Patches(see below)

The above gear, except for name tapes and patches can be obtained from the following sources:

• Brigade QuarterMasters. Use this Order Form to get a discount on blouse/trousers.
• Super Trooper
• Ranger Joes
• Local - Army Navy Warehouse, Valwood/I-35

You will need the following nametapes/patches in ACU Velcro:

• 2 Last Name nametape
• Texas State Guard nametap
• Texas State Guard "T" Patch
• Rank Insignia Patch
• Reverse TEXAS Flag (US Flag is not authorized for TXSG)

Nametapes and patches can be purchased from 1800nametape.com. Click on Texas State Guard in the menu on the left and buy the ACU PACKAGE DEAL, ACU TEXAS STATE GUARD UNIT PATCHES (this is the "T" Patch), and TEXAS STATE FLAGS with VELCRO(r).
